Symphonie Nr. 4 'Romantische' is the fourth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, first completed in 1874. Rooted in the late-Romantic orchestral tradition, the work employs expansive structures, rich brass chorales, broad string textures and contrasting scherzo episodes, and it marks a stage in Bruckner's development toward more monumental symphonic forms and denser harmonic language.
