Symphony no. 1 in B‐flat minor
Album by William Walton & Royal Scottish National Orchestra & Sir Alexander Gibson
Symphony No. 1 in B-flat minor is the first symphony by English composer William Walton, premiered in 1935. The four-movement orchestral work combines modernist harmonies, driving rhythms and expansive lyricism, demonstrating Walton's command of orchestral colour and texture and representing his first full-length symphonic statement from the interwar period.
