Symphony No. 6 in A major is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1881. The work is a late-Romantic orchestral piece characterised by sonorous brass, layered string textures, shifting rhythms and expansive formal structures, and it occupies a transitional place in Bruckner's output between his middle and late periods.
