Horn Concertos
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & CBC Radio Orchestra & James Sommerville
Horn Concertos is a set of four horn concertos composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart between 1783 and 1791. They exemplify Classical-era orchestral writing for the horn, combining lyrical solo lines and clear classical forms while reflecting the technical constraints of the natural horn, and they represent examples of Mozart's late 1780s work for wind soloists.
