Piano Concertos no. 1 and no. 2

Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Sir John Barbirolli & Arthur Rubinstein & London Symphony Orchestra

Piano Concertos Nos. 1 and 2 are piano concertos by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed between 1829 and 1830. They blend the lyrical, piano-centred idiom of the early Romantic period with orchestral accompaniment, emphasising expressive, intimate piano writing and inventive piano–orchestra dialogue, and they occupy a formative place in Chopin's early career as his principal works for piano and orchestra.
First released: 1996
