Natural Black Inventions: Root Strata is a studio album by American multi-instrumentalist Rahsaan Roland Kirk, released in 1971. The album is a blend of jazz improvisation, soul and blues elements with dense arrangements and Kirk's simultaneous multi-horn performance, and it was part of his early 1970s output in which he merged traditional jazz techniques with popular forms.
