Echoes of a Friend is a solo piano album by American jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, released in 1972. Musically, it is a solo jazz record that uses modal harmony, strong left-hand voicings and dense chordal textures, and it comes after Tyner's time with John Coltrane when he shifted toward solo and small-group formats.
