Album by Hector Berlioz & Jean‐Claude Casadesus & Orchestre national de Lille
Symphonie fantastique is a programme symphony by French composer Hector Berlioz, composed and first performed in 1830. The work uses large-scale orchestration, a recurring idée fixe and vivid programme-driven orchestral colours to portray a narrative sequence, and it occupies a significant place in Berlioz's career and in the development of Romantic orchestral technique.
