Message to Our Folks

Message to Our Folks is an album by the Art Ensemble of Chicago, released in 1969. It is rooted in free jazz and avant-garde approaches, with extended improvisation, abrupt shifts between dense and sparse textures, prominent percussion and horn colours, and it was recorded during the group's late 1960s European period when they expanded their use of theatrical sounds and collective improvisation.
