Symphony No. 2 is the second symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1872. The work features expansive orchestral writing with broad melodic arches, prominent brass and string textures and dramatic contrasts, and it occupies an early place in Bruckner's output where he experiments with large-scale form and thematic development that would inform his later symphonies.
