Symphonien 39 / 41 “Jupiter”
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & London Classical Players & Sir Roger Norrington
Symphonies 39 and 41, the latter nicknamed 'Jupiter', are orchestral works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1788. They are late-classical works that use a full orchestra with clear textures and contrapuntal passages, and they were written in the final year of Mozart's symphonic output when he expanded his harmonic language and formal scope beyond his earlier symphonies.
