This release is a recording of two symphonies by Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, composed in the mid-1790s (1794–1795). Rooted in the Classical period, the works employ clear sonata forms, expanded orchestration with prominent winds, brass and percussion, and reflect Haydn's mature compositional style developed during his final visits to London.
