Violin Concertos Nos. 1, 2

Album by Niccolò Paganini & Yehudi Menuhin & Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & Alberto Erede

Violin Concertos Nos. 1 and 2 are concertos composed by Italian violinist Niccolò Paganini, completed in 1817 and 1826 respectively. Rooted in the early Romantic virtuoso tradition, the works feature extreme technical demands on the soloist alongside expressive slow movements and inventive orchestral writing, and they occupy an important place in the development of the violin repertoire and in Paganini's career as a pioneering virtuoso-composer.
