Concertos BWV 1041, 1042, 1043, 1060
Album by Johann Sebastian Bach & Gidon Kremer & Heinz Holliger
Concertos BWV 1041, 1042, 1043 and 1060 are a set of instrumental concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in the early to mid-18th century. They exemplify Baroque concerto forms with dialogue between soloists and ensemble, contrapuntal textures, ornamented melodic lines and driving rhythms, and represent central examples of Bach's instrumental writing and the development of the concerto genre.
