These are two sacred cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed in the 1720s. They exemplify Baroque sacred music through solo vocal writing with obbligato instrumental lines, alternating arias and recitatives and chorale-based contrapuntal textures, and represent Bach's mature cantata style from his Leipzig period.
