Suite: The Comedians is an orchestral suite by Russian composer Dmitry Kabalevsky, composed in 1940. The suite features brisk tempos, jaunty rhythms and clear, colourful orchestration with neoclassical touches, reflecting Kabalevsky's interest in stage music and his move into an early mature period of accessible, pedagogically minded orchestral writing.
