Tales from the Vienna Woods is a waltz by Austrian composer Johann Strauss II, first performed in 1868. The piece is scored for orchestra with an optional zither part, has traditional Viennese waltz rhythms and pastoral melodies, and is part of Strauss's later output of light dance music that was widely performed in Vienna.
