Piano Trios
Album by Johannes Brahms & Alexander von Zemlinsky & Feininger Trio
Piano Trios are a set of chamber works by German composer Johannes Brahms, composed between 1854 and 1882. They marry Romantic lyricism with classical structural rigour, featuring dense piano textures, warm string writing and intricate motivic development, and occupy a central place in Brahms's chamber-music output as works that chart his development from early virtuosity to mature restraint within 19th-century musical practice.
