The Great Learning

The Great Learning is a composition by Cornelius Cardew written between 1968 and 1971. Musically it draws on experimental, minimal and free approaches with simple motifs, open forms and written instructions for group performance, and it is part of Cardew's shift away from serial composition toward politically engaged, participatory practice.
