The Rake's Progress

Album by Igor Fyodorovitch Stravinsky

The Rake's Progress is an opera by Игорь Фёдорович Стравинский, which premiered in 1951. Musically it is a neoclassical work that uses clear tonal structures, lean orchestration and elements of 18th-century stylistic pastiche, and it represents Stravinsky's mid-career return to tonality and classical forms in his stage music.
