La Resurrezione, HWV 47 is an oratorio by Georg Friedrich Händel, composed and first performed in 1708. Musically it exemplifies Handel's early Italianate Baroque oratorio style, combining operatic solo writing, expressive recitatives and arias with choral and orchestral textures, and it occupies a place in his Roman-period output that helped prefigure his later development of large-scale sacred drama.
