Symphony No. 7 "Leningrad" is the seventh symphony by Soviet composer Dmitri Shostakovich, completed in 1941. The four-movement orchestral work juxtaposes expansive, march-like themes, sweeping climaxes and quieter lyrical passages that reflect the wartime context of its composition and it occupies a prominent place among Shostakovich's wartime works.
