Symphonies nos. 40 & 41 "Jupiter"

Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Wiener Symphoniker & Ferenc Fricsay

Symphonies Nos. 40 and 41 "Jupiter" are two symphonies by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1788. They exemplify the mature late-Classical orchestral style, with heightened chromaticism, expressive dynamics and intricate counterpoint, and as Mozart's final symphonies they represent a culmination of his symphonic writing that influenced later developments in orchestral music.
