Trios Op. 49 and Op. 66 are two piano trios by Felix Mendelssohn, composed in 1839 and 1845. Rooted in early Romantic chamber music, they blend lyrical, song-like melodies with intricate contrapuntal writing and classical forms, occupying an important place in Mendelssohn's mature chamber output as examples of his synthesis of classical balance and Romantic expression.
