Miserere

Miserere is a choral composition by Italian composer Gregorio Allegri, composed in the 1630s. It is a polyphonic setting of the Latin penitential psalm for voices in the Catholic liturgy, has a soaring top part alongside richly woven lower voices, and was part of Allegri's sacred repertoire at the papal chapel in Rome.
