Album by Herbie Mann
The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd is an album by American jazz flautist Herbie Mann, released in 1965. Musically it adapts material from the stage musical into jazz arrangements centred on Mann's flute, small-group rhythms and light orchestral touches, and it comes from a mid-1960s phase in which he recorded jazz treatments of contemporary popular and stage songs.
