The Machine Stops is a studio album by English space rock band Hawkwind, released in 2016. The album is a concept work adapting E. M. Forster's short story and combines Hawkwind's trademark space-rock electronics, synthesiser textures and driving rhythms, representing a late-career return to explicitly narrative, science-fiction-themed material.
