Cartridge Music is a release presenting John Cage’s indeterminate work for amplified small sounds, in which performers use phonograph cartridges as contact microphones to render the vibrations of everyday objects audible. It belongs to experimental and live-electronic music, employing chance operations and transparent graphic overlays to organise each realisation.
