Streichquartette, Volume 1 is an album of string quartets by Antonín Dvořák, containing the Quartet in F major, Op. 96 (composed 1893) and the Quartet in G major, Op. 106 (composed 1895). Both pieces exemplify Dvořák's late-Romantic chamber style, combining folk-influenced melodies, energetic rhythms and richly textured harmony, with the Op.96 reflecting influences from his American period and the Op.106 representing a more expansive, autumnal voice near the end of his quartet output.
