Symphony no. 7
Album by Gustav Mahler & Rundfunk‐Sinfonieorchester Saarbrücken & Hans Zender
Symphony No. 7 is a symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1905. The work employs a late-Romantic orchestral palette with expansive structures, contrasting nocturnal and more extroverted passages, featuring large forces and varied instrumentation, and it occupies a transitional place in Mahler's output as he continued to experiment with form and orchestral colour between his middle and late symphonies.
