American Utopia is David Byrne’s seventh solo studio album, released in 2018 by Todomundo! and Nonesuch Records, blending art rock, experimental pop and funk with polyrhythmic percussion and electronic textures. Its lyrics explore contemporary American life, community and uncertainty, with contributions from collaborators including Brian Eno and Rodaidh McDonald.
