Symphony No. 6 is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed between 1879 and 1881. Rooted in the late-Romantic orchestral tradition, the work features expansive structures, dense contrapuntal writing and pronounced brass and horn textures, and it occupies a distinct place in Bruckner's output as a more austere, formally rigorous exploration of his symphonic language.
