Harpsichord Concertos
Album by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach
Harpsichord Concertos is a collection of harpsichord concertos by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, composed in the mid-18th century (circa 1740s–1750s). They use the empfindsamer Stil with abrupt dynamic shifts, expressive melodies and leaner orchestral textures that point toward the early Classical style, and they occupy a transitional role in Bach's output between Baroque idioms and later classical forms.
First released: 1989
