Mein Vaterland -- My Country

Mein Vaterland (Má vlast) is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The work employs Romantic-era orchestral writing with nationalistic themes, vivid orchestration and recurring motifs that evoke Bohemian landscapes and legends, and it occupies a key place in Smetana's mature output and in the development of Czech national music.
