Violin Concertos are a set of violin concertos by German composer Felix Mendelssohn, composed across the 1830s–1840s with the principal concerto completed in 1844. The works blend Classical forms and transparent orchestration with Romantic lyricism and virtuosic violin writing, and they occupy a central place in Mendelssohn's output as significant contributions to the nineteenth-century concerto repertoire.
