Double Trios

Album by McCoy Tyner

Double Trios is a studio album by American jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, released in 1986. The music is rooted in post-bop and modal jazz and uses two separate trio line-ups to produce dense polyphonic textures and strong rhythmic drive, and it has Tyner revisit acoustic trio ideas while expanding his harmonic and rhythmic palette late in his career.
