Symphony no. 9 „From the New World‟

Album by Antonín Dvořák & Slovenská filharmónia & Libor Pešek

Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" is the ninth symphony by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed in 1893 during his time in the United States. The work combines late-Romantic orchestral writing with melodic and rhythmic elements inspired by American musical idioms alongside Dvořák's Bohemian roots, and it occupies a pivotal place in his output as the major symphonic statement from his American period.
