Taj Mahal is the debut studio album by American blues musician Taj Mahal, released in 1968. The album draws on blues and folk influences with both acoustic and electric instruments, straightforward arrangements and a strong emphasis on traditional blues forms, and it was the start of Taj Mahal's recorded career that expanded into broader roots and world music influences.
