The Second Booke of Songs (1600) is the second collection of lute songs by English Renaissance composer John Dowland, published in 1600. The collection comprises settings for solo voice with lute accompaniment in the English lute-song (ayre) style, featuring modal harmonies, expressive melancholy and contrapuntal detail, and it followed his First Booke to form part of the core repertory for solo voice and lute in the late-Elizabethan/early-Jacobean period.
