Canto Ostinato is a composition by Dutch composer Simeon ten Holt, written between 1976 and 1979. Musically it is a long-form minimalist work built from repeating ostinatos and gradual processes, written to permit flexible instrumentation and extensive performer choice, producing a meditative, slowly evolving sound world that is central to ten Holt's output and to late 20th-century Dutch contemporary music.
