Album by Antonín Dvořák & Pieter Wispelwey & Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest & Lawrence Renes
The Cello Concerto in B minor, Op. 104 is a concerto for solo cello and orchestra by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, completed in 1895. Written in Dvořák's late Romantic style, it combines expansive lyrical writing, folk-influenced motifs and demanding solo passages within a richly scored orchestral framework, and it occupies a prominent place in his late output and in the standard concert repertoire for the instrument.
