Piano Concerto no. 2

Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Arthur Rubinstein & Philharmonia Orchestra & Carlo Maria Giulini

Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor is the second piano concerto by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed in 1829 and first performed in 1830. Rooted in the early Romantic tradition, it features lyrical melodies, virtuosic piano writing set against orchestral accompaniment and occupies an early, formative place in Chopin's output where his emphasis on pianistic colour and expressive nuance foreshadows his later solo works.
