I was Glad
Album by Hubert Parry & Roger Judd & Windsor Castle Choir of St George’s Chapel & Christopher Robinson
I Was Glad is a ceremonial choral anthem by English composer Sir Hubert Parry, composed in 1902. Written in a late-Romantic Anglican choral style and scored for choir with organ and orchestral forces, it exemplifies the processional, grand sonorities associated with British coronation music and is closely associated with the English choral revival at the turn of the 20th century.
