Sinfonie no. 1 (Linz version)
Album by Anton Bruckner & Gewandhausorchester Leipzig & Václav Neumann
Symphony No. 1 (Linz version) is the first symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1866. The work is an expansive Romantic orchestral composition in C minor characterised by broad, hymn-like themes, robust brass writing and dense contrapuntal textures, and it represents an early articulation of Bruckner's approach to large-scale symphonic structure and sonority.
