The Magnificent Seven
Album by Elmer Bernstein & Royal Scottish National Orchestra
The Magnificent Seven is the soundtrack album by American composer Elmer Bernstein, released in 1960 for the Western film of the same name. Musically it features bold brass-led fanfares, propulsive percussion and sweeping orchestral textures drawing on Western and classical film-score idioms, and it occupies an important place in Bernstein's career as a notable contribution to mid-20th-century Hollywood Western scoring.
