Les Noces
Album by Igor Fyodorovitch Stravinsky & Péter Eötvös
Les Noces is a ballet-cantata by Russian composer Igor Stravinsky, completed in 1923. The work is scored for four pianos, percussion and a large chorus, drawing on Russian folk material and emphasising rhythmic drive and percussive sonorities, and it occupies an experimental position in Stravinsky's output between his earlier ballets and his subsequent neoclassical phase.
