Symphonie Nr. 1 & 7 is a recording of Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 and Symphony No. 7, composed in 1800 and 1812 respectively. The two symphonies contrast Beethoven's early adherence to Classical forms in the first with a later focus on vigorous rhythmic drive and expanded orchestral colour in the seventh, and they show a development in his approach to rhythm and orchestral writing.
