Symphony no. 9 "Choral"
Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & London Symphony Orchestra & Eugen Jochum
Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, often called the Choral Symphony, is the ninth symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, completed and first performed in 1824. The work notably integrates vocal soloists and a chorus into the symphonic structure in its final movement, blending orchestral and choral forces and exemplifying Beethoven's late-period experimentation with large-scale form, thematic development and harmonic innovation.
