Schwanengesang is a collection of Lieder by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, published posthumously in 1829. Composed in the final months of his life, the set comprises Romantic-era piano-accompanied art songs characterised by intimate, lyrically driven vocal lines, sophisticated harmonic language and expressive text-setting that mark a culmination of Schubert's contributions to the Lied repertoire.
