Symphonie Nr. 9 is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1909. Marked by expansive late-Romantic orchestration, complex contrapuntal textures and a deep preoccupation with mortality, the work reflects Mahler's late-period style and is his final completed symphony, occupying a significant position in the transition toward 20th-century orchestral writing.
